Although next year's timetables have yet to be finalised, course selection has now finished. Please contact Ms Saunders if you wish to make changes to your 2025 selections.
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr J. van Mulbergt.
The NCEA Level 3 Construction course is a blend of Achievement and Unit Standards that expands on the knowledge learned in the Level 2 course. The course has a theoretical base with associated design and practical components that enforce this learning.
The students will gain specialised knowledge and experience during the design, planning and construction of both individual and group projects such as decks and landscaping around the school campus.
The skills learnt should assist students in making informed choices about future educational and career options in a wide range of construction and timber-related fields.
Students will develop projects which will be manufactured using a wider range of skills and processes.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Under the School Donations Scheme, if students want to take home their finished projects, a charge will be added to their school account. The cost covers essential materials such as wood, hardware, finishes, and other consumable supplies.
