Level 3 Certificate in Tourism

Level 3 Certificate in Tourism is available through STAR through the New Zealand School of Tourism.

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the tourism, travel, or aviation industry with individuals who can support and enhance the visitor experience and use their skills and knowledge to strengthen the contribution of tourism to the New Zealand economy.

The qualification will benefit the community by enhancing the experiences of New Zealand's visitors and bringing economic benefits to the country.

Graduates of the Visitor Experience, Tourism and Travel and Aviation strands will be able to engage with, and support visitors in a variety of tourism settings relevant to the strand.

This course consists of approximately 21 credits and is aimed to provide students with knowledge required for entry to Level 3-4 courses at Polytechnic or other tertiary providers.
